Work Statement: We Will Do Like the Roots Do explores connection and growth fostered through the impermanence and permanance of material. Similar to the root systems that allows for communication between trees, the connectivity with one another as human beings is a network of experiences and memories that build up and support who we are.

Artist Bio: A native to South Louisiana, Gabrielle Dinger is a working artist and educator. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts with an emphasis in sculpture from Nicholls State University in 2016 and her Master of Fine Arts with an emphasis in sculpture from the University of Mississippi in 2020. She is currently an educator in the arts working within the public school system in Louisiana. In addition she works as a free lance artist and for a local Mardi Gras parade float shop as a painter and sculptor.
